Thanks everyone and sorry for the slow update. It’s been a rough 3 weeks and it’s been bloody painful (but a healing pain not the pain I had before!). I’ve now had my first physio and I’m a lot more mobile than I was. Starting to get a bit of cabin fever now, this 6 weeks precautionary period is...
So it's finally happening... my THR is booked in for the 23rd November.
Not really sure how I am feeling at the moment - the biggest thing on my mind is how much I want to get sorted and prepared before the big date. Christmas is around the corner and I feel slightly deflated that our plans...
@Barbaraj congratulations! Really pleased everything went well. Sounds like you’re well on your way down the recovery road. Keep us posted with your recovery - apart from the surgery soreness it must be such a relief knowing your pain will be gone!

Thank you all - this is so helpful. I just worry that having it young will limit my activity and movement and the main worry is needing further operations - but actually my movement is already limited anyway and this is the point in my life I want to be able to live and do things without having...
Hi all, just looking for some advice really. I have read a few of your posts and the majority seem very positive following THR at a young age.
I have been trying to research this as I am a 27 year old with hip dysplasia in my left leg. Diagnosed at 2, major operations followed with me going on...
