Good wishes to all. Just writing this in the calm before the storm when the family arrive later. Have a great day everyone
Hi @mbbs - good to hear you've made a decision and got a date for TAR. Can I ask if you're going privately? NHS waiting list here in Scotland is over 12 months and getting longer!
Meantime, enjoy the holidays.

Hi Annie, that sounds interesting. My ankle isn't locked (yet) - I can move the foot up and down within limits and do partial rotation but weight bearing and walking are difficult.

Hi @Sukuma - sorry to hear about the tummy upset but glad the hip is progressing well and so much better than last time. Hopefully sleeping will get easier as your muscles adjust. Best wishes.
Hi @Mailman Your video looks so good especially for just a few weeks out from THR and in comparison to your pre-op condition - well done you and your surgeon.
I can definitely relate to the standing up straight after surgery and to the arm swinging thing - walking poles helped with the...
Hi @JamesUK - welcome to BoneSmart - here you will find stories of real experiences. I'm UK too, double hippie now, one NHS & one private but both by the same surgeon with posterior-lateral approach. I was aware of a few miracle stories pre-op but luckily didn't watch any YouTube stuff. Post-op...
