Merry Christmas
Been busy with holiday preparations and now have maybe the flu? Hubby was first now me.
He's doing better but rough week.
I am putting my pain issues on the back burner for awhile. Well try to anyway.
Laying low here. Family pitched in for Christmas Eve dinner and went to the...
Oh {{@anny}}
I just popped on here again before bed and here you are!!
I cannot even think about a knee surgery -- my R hip, first one, is STILL not where is should be pain wise.
Its funny the congenital stuff one finds out when joint replacement is discussed. My hips were abnormal. Can't...
@Jaycey
BTDT - actually a couple times, last time developed a numbness in my left foot/toes and sciatica on right...PT suggesed spine surgeon...
I am going to look into acupuncture. I have no idea what to look for with that however.
@anny
I trying to catch up on threads and wondering how your appointment went and any news on the knee?
I too have issues with the R knee since the hips gave out and dont really even want to say this out loud but the
audible bone grind has started for me. Pain is still soft tissue ITB related...
Hi Everybody!:wave: @Layla @SaraK @anny @Mojo333
Its been SOOOO long! Just guess I ended up taking a bit longer break from BS than I intended.
Life gets in the way - then out of town family for the week of Thanksgiving. Of course I had a bit of
housekeeping to do before family got...
@anny
So good to have you back!
Life without internet- its like when I was young and misplaced my library card...

I have the hockey pucks still and the dents. Matched set. I swear if you look close you can SEE the pucks
just under the incision.
You're seven weeks already? How did that...
@ladylorn ! You sound great!
Oh yeah there's always something to grump about... but sounds like you have it in hand. So good.
Cold weather. Not ready for it. I am just under 1 1/2 hours straight east of you. (we should do lunch!)
Hey do you think we will get an indian summer this fall?
Guess...
Hi @Layla !
Thanks for remembering my anniversaries. How time flies right?
I am doing better with the acute pain from my stumbles with the right hip.
The Aleve in the am helps the pain stay around 3-4. Hot bath before bed and ice overnight too.
But the biggest thing that has helped is the NOT...
@danabanana
Found you again! Just wondering how the appointment went and how you're doing?
Hoping a light at the end of the tunnel? And you're doing well otherwise too.
Don't want to hear of new hospital stays now!
@Layla
Hey good morning!
I finally have an appointment with the DO (osteopathic physician) who actually does spine adjustments too.
Not til Oct 26 tho. Hopefully this guy will be a good fit for me as I need a good general practitioner also.
I am still having around a 2-4 pain level R hip/etc...
{{{{ @Cyndian }}}}
Praying for you! And your husband!
You've been through so much - still more to come. Your nursing skills are being put to task for sure.
One day at a time and hopefully, prayerfully, you will get through this trial of a hip replacement.
No where to go but forward now...
@SaraK
Did your activity filled weekend intensify the pain? Or just always painful now?
Glad the doc wants to try tendon injection.
That has helped me in the past.
Yes:fingersx:. @SaraK
My OS said time, time, and more time. He said "see you next year"...
Also go and do next to nothing, just walk and not to excess with that either.
I'm not good at that...funny how pain makes laying low happen though.
When you said you wish you would have "just lived with...
@ladylorn
Happy days are here again??! So happy the blues have turned into a sunny outlook!
If we ever start getting pretty fall weather here in the mid-Atlantic...
Enjoy the fall!
@anny
How can it be a month already!! Well +1day?
Hope your internet isn't out again?
Hope from your hips on down to toes are recovering quietly and the side stitch has subsided. Those little glitches
can loom large at this stage of recovery, and sometimes over-ride the most recent surgery...
Hi @SaraK
Here I am playing catchup again!
An impingement/revision specialist? You're scaring me!!:shocked:
But... I totally get it. We need answers.
Especially when you have one hip-side doing fine and the other hip is so uphill and problematic.
We go through these hip surgeries to get our...
@Bone-obo thank for the suggestion! I do have bonsai shears but I am more of an earthmover landscape gal. I have my own skidsteer...
I will just lay low for the rest of the week, plan the next project on paper.
@Mojo333 it's better today until I move certain ways... just have to remember to...
Oh @SaraK
I'm catching up on you because you and I are experiencing the same pains! Same leg!
I hyperextended second time today and it was a doozie!
I am so sad to read about your ongoing struggles especially since you've been diligent with
seeking remedy.
That is somewhat un-nerving for...
{{{ @Layla @Mojo333 @anny }}} and anyone else who wanders by BeBeland.
Stopped the chiropractor as he didn't want to adjust low back- only use the muscle scraping grafton technique which was not helpful for the ITBand issues.
I chose to start up with naproxen (Aleve) again. Just really...
