HI All,
3 weeks out. My left knee, although still painful, feels quite stable.
My right one however, is buckling like nobody's business. I can't put any weight on it at all, or it just completely buckles!! ??? What is THAT all about? And its not from pain. The right one is less painful...
Oh my!! I am so very sorry!!
So many of us can relate to the frustration and time and pain and more surgeries.... etc It can be, not only physically exhausting but emotionally and physically as well.
You are not alone!
Many virtual hugs to you
xo
Hi there!
I know this is super frustrating! I think 125 at 11 weeks is GREAT! :)
Try to have patience with yourself (Im preaching to the choir here...LOL) and know that you are not alone. Give yourself the full year to recover.
It sounds to me as if you are doing wonderfully!!
Hi there!
You can read from my bio.... I am no newbie to knee surgeries.
My latest was a couple weeks ago. (March 16 and March 20)
This surgery and recovery is brutal in every way. I wish there was a "fast track" to healing, but there just isn't. The truth is there are VERY FEW people who...
Hi Everyone,
I am almost 2 weeks out from left TKR and 2 1/2 from right knee revision.
I had my first appt with the surgeon 2 days ago to get my stitches out.
He hadn't even walked in the door all of the way or even said "hello" yet;
the FIRST WORDS OUT OF HIS MOUTH WERE: "Looks like we're...
Yes thank you! I forget about that, I can come on in the middle of the night and it's daytime somewhere else! Sleeping has been..... well, let's say, non-existant.
Here is my update:
Had the revision on March 16, and the TKR (on the left) on March 20
I had the "Q" ball in which really helped with pain but after that ran out.... HOLY COW! I remember the intense throbbing and pain. Just relentless. The NP describes it as having a "toothache". What...
Back from spacer exchange. He took it up 2 sizes; (his words; he says he generally exchanges for one size bigger and mine required 2) it already feels much more stable. The pain is nowhere near as bad as the TKR. Today I have taken my Tylenol and 50mg of tramadol. No opioids needed. It only...
I guess this condition is determined by -5 or more which is not good because it causes instability. It's hard to find alot of info about this.
The NP told me that there will not be any PT for me this time around until about 4-6 weeks, because they actually WANT a bit of scar tissue to form to...
HI everyone,
I saw the NP today for preop stuff and she said I also have genu recurvatum, which apparently is a fancy term for hyperextension. I guess this is also a complication post TKR (and quite rare?) which causes instability and sometimes hard to treat.
Naturally I have some...
I got my date moved up to March 16th.
SO... ready or not!!!
Can someone add me to the March and April list?
I have right knee revision: March 16
Left knee TKR: April 14
ok, I need some more advice!!!!
Every single day my knee becomes more unstable. So much so that I cannot put any weight on it. It is wobbling everywhere, and "slipping" and buckling. My hips and back are KILLING me. I don't know what to do!? I feel like it has "detached" from my body (??)...
Hello ALL,
I am wondering if any of you had 2 knee surgeries (maybe bilateral TKRs) at the same time and would you recommend it?
For some reason, my surgeon wants me to have the one surgery and then wait 4 weeks and have the other. I am very healthy so not sure of his reasoning???
Thoughts?
