Bilateral TKR 2 years post BTKR with questions

Interesting. I always thought water was best for our joints. But I will add that in the fall when I dropped another 20 lbs, I was doing some walking and had knee issues then too. It’s discouraging.

    TKR Self-care and TKR

Yes, I'm a firm believer in burning comforting fragrant candles. I also am comforted by my two dogs and love to have them cedar with me. I also use a lavender room spray. My two teens daughter are truly my number one reason for staying strong. They've been my caretakers and I couldn't do this...

I am no stranger to hives. I used to have them almost daily. But in the past two years they have been very quiet to almost non existent. However, I'm not gonna lie, I've been a bit worried about seeing hives shortly before surgery and what do you know.....today I wake up with hives. Not bad...

How am I going to keep my big dogs off my TKR.

Yes. I will have my family here. I love hearing how the pets naturally seem to know. I feel better hearing this from yall as I had wondered if that would actually happen. Yes. Definitely think the walker will help as a barricade. Thanks yall.

How am I going to keep my big dogs off my TKR.

I have two boxers. One is 75 pounds and the other is 100 pounds. They are lap dogs haha. They are attached to me. When I come home I am fearful for the pain or injury it may cause to my new knew should they attempt to get on my lap. Anyone have any experience with this?

    Discouraged

If your left knee has bone on bone disease you would want to just jump to TKR on that knee.

How soon after TKR surgery can you go swimming?

I asked my OS this question as we have a pool and hot tub, and I love being in it. He said about three weeks, as soon as the wound is healed.

Muscle in groin feels pulled. Hurt everywhere

No pain meds. I take Celebrex which basically does nothing for either knee or my aches and pains. I need to wait only because I'm waiting for school to end but if I could fo it tomorrow I would.

PmpknPie is getting a new knee

Gosh finding this forum is a God send. I used to think I'm too young to be having knee replacement surgery but clearly from reading many posts I'm seeing early 50s is quite common around here. I look forward to following both of you Carolina and Pmpknpie. :dancy:
