I had an anterolateral incision for both left hip revisions. I had almost no pain postop. I iced it a lot. They don’t cut any muscles. The hip revisions are another story.
Thanks to Depuy, my metal on metal started wearing and flaking off cobalt and chromium. And I had muscle damage. I may limp...
I had my original hip replacement in 2007. Everything went well until 2021. Started having excruciating groin pain. Went to PT because of my limp (weak gluteal muscles). PT didn’t help do I went to se my OS. He sent me for lab work. Blood chromium and cobalt were somewhat elevated. He sent for a...

This a long story. I have had bilateral hip replacements done (2005 and 2007). They were metal on metal. About a year ago, I started having left groin pain. Took awhile to get a diagnosis. But the two metals wearing and my blood cobalt level was three times the normal range. So I had...

While on my Italy trip, in 12 days I walked 40 miles but I had to rest frequently. I think I need to increase my endurance. I belong to the Y and they have personal trainers. Of course you have to pay $25/session to get a training plan.
I can also go to PT about my gait.
I had a RKR done in April 2017. Then I had the left knee replacement. I’m 8 months postop. I’m 8 months postop. Extension and flexion are good. I went to Italy a month ago for two weeks. I couldn’t keep up with my nephew or anyone else. I struggled with going up and down stairs. My Orthro doc...

Will increasing knee flexion help the limping go away?
I had my Left knee replacement surgery done January 27th. I finished up PT. My flexion then was 110 and extension was +10. Which I don’t consider very good. I’ve been heel slides, exercises to increase the flexion. So I don’t know if I’ve improved. I still have soreness behind my knee and...

Another thing he was to have me stand up from a sitting position, arms crossed and stand up and sit down 30 times. I guess we started strengthening exercises.
I’ve made an appointment with another PT place. My first questions will be their approach for knee replacement therapy. My first appointment is Friday morning.
I had the same man. I was able to walk with a cane at 6 weeks. The cane was just a crutch. My doctor was impressed with my recovery.
I would have to believe the physical therapist did many of the same things then.
