Hi Heidi, I feel a lot better. Only had 2 hours sleep last night but feel refreshed and relaxed. I will have a nap during today. I really do think recovery starts at home with our knees, they need TLC. Please read the other post with landoz :thankyou: :dancy: :egypdance:- jensen01

Hi kKathy, yes its good to be home doing things in my own time. Getting around a little on the crutches. It is very tiring moving around but has to be done, just short little walks around the house in between resting and icing. I am using a Cryocuff for ice it is such a relief to put it on nice...- jensen01

hello heidi ,yes we dont get a choice of a PT here in uk we get what we are given and they all work the same way with a aggressive approach to recovery the guys who i had i didnt like how they worked i wanted them to be nice and gentle with me but no way was that going to happen i mentioned it...- jensen01

Hi folks, day 3, post op blue mood kicking in, mood low due to being exhausted with lack of sleep. Physios are pushing ROM, it's only 45 and they said it should be more but due to the large amount of swelling I didn't agree with him. hi yes the nausia snd sickness has stopped thank goodness not too much pain.either managed on 2 paracrtomol this evening but will have my big shots before bedtime.to last through.the night hoping for a good nite feel do tired i have been nodding off most of the day i will be happy to.go home...- jensen01

hi baystater yes a zimmer is a walker pysio came today and took it away and gave me crutchs she observed me walking s little on them and was ok.shes going to watch me on the stairs tomorrow to see how i go a lot of swelling today so it makes movement harder working on ice and rest today they...- jensen01

day 2 after surgery is going well had a good 6 hours sleep last night pain meds are good they make me sleepy walked to bathroom this morning with zimmer frame washed and dressed and had tea and toast for brekie the surgeon has been to see me this am and said all is going well knee and leg...- jensen01

Feeling much better this afternoon, happy and in good spirits. Been for a little walk on the corridor then rest and ice cyro cuff. Knee feels not too bad when I walked on it gently. Not doing too bad for day one after surgery. Cathy glad to hear you're doing well :)- jensen01

Thank you. The doctor has taken me off codeine and given me new meds including anti sickness. I have just taken them as we speak and just had a little soup and ice cream for lunch. Hoping to keep it down. All is going ok. I will take another little walk later then more ice.- jensen01
