Whatever for? You are not in training. You are recovering from a major injury. Sorry - but your doctor needs to update their approach. Strength training will only set you back every time.

Disinfecting surfaces when living on your own?

I think the issue is that if you are exposed to the virus - say outside your home. Then you come home and touch things like door handles, appliances, etc. Even if you wash your hands when you get into your home, the virus can remain on hard surfaces you touch frequently.

THR Metal Free prothesis for total hip implant?

@MAGY Welcome to BoneSmart! I am afraid there are no metal free implants. However there are implants available for people with metal allergies similar to your's. You should ask your surgeon to investigate this. Or does your allergist know of anyone who can recommend an implant for you?

    THR 3 weeks out

@Suesf88 Please remember this is very major surgery. You are not going to get back to any kind of normal activity for quite awhile. Trying to push through is only going to set you back. Read the article Celle left you about how long does healing take. Soft tissues and muscles are in trauma...

TKR TKR problems after 6 years

The issue is not whether the consultant has work. It is that theatres that are normally ring fenced for orthopaedic work are being converted to intensive care units. Unfortunately it's just not a great time to need "elective" surgery.

@Elf1 Thanks for breaking the gloom and doom cycle. All very positive news.
