[REVISION TKR] Jan’s new knees- 1 for the left-2 for the right<

@Celle thank you for looking at my report. I’m curious about how much die-back to be concerned about also. And the debris being in there too. What causes the bone to die-back?

[REVISION TKR] Jan’s new knees- 1 for the left-2 for the right<

@sistersinhim thank you for tagging her. I’m just so frustrated and disheartened about this never ending recovery, I completely forgot to tag anyone. My left knee was such an easy and good recovery, so I know what a successful knee replacement is supposed to feel like.

[REVISION TKR] Jan’s new knees- 1 for the left-2 for the right<

Yesterday was my 6 month anniversary on the revision of this right knee. I wish I could say that I felt like I was making progress, but I feel as if I’m at a standstill, if not going backwards. This right knee is going to be the death of me!! I posted last month a picture of my “tilted kneecap “...

    [REVISION TKR] Motherbone's Recovery Thread

I’d be interested to know what they have you do for gait retraining and muscle atrophy. Those are my issues as well but nothing seems to help

[TKR] 6 months po on TKR and knee is swollen and stiff

You aren’t alone. We share the same surgery date and my knee is still swollen and warm too. Still painful. I’m just over it!!! I understand being worried about vacation, I’m taking a short vacation next week and I’m already worried about walking.

[REVISION TKR] Elaine’s slow-as-a-snail revision recovery

That’s definitely a gorgeous view, but that freezer burn, ouch!!! I’m a couple months ahead of you in this revision journey and honestly I couldn’t imagine driving all day. About 2 hours is as long as I can take being behind the wheel before I have to have a break. And then I’m so stiff and sore...

Osteolysis in Patellar Component of TKR

Thanks for the explanation. Not something that I want to hear, considering it’s not been 6 months since my revision :scare:

Osteolysis in Patellar Component of TKR

What is osteolysis, if you don’t mind me asking? There was a mention of this on my last X-ray.

Post good wishes for Jo's knee revision here!

Jo, good luck on your surgery. We’ll be there for you, just as you’ve always been there for us. I pray you have a speedy recovery. :console2::prayer:

[REVISION TKR] Hmm. Not thrilled with the revision yet<

You’re probably correct about pain using energy, I know it’s draining... I’m feeling really low these days, just tired, a nap is usually nice though!

[REVISION TKR] Hmm. Not thrilled with the revision yet<

Oh my! Hopefully you won’t be non weight bearing, or it won’t be for long. I’m sorry you’re going through all of this. It is so disheartening when it’s just one thing after the other. Here’s a virtual hug :console2:

[REVISION TKR] Jan’s new knees- 1 for the left-2 for the right<

I did look it up, I might be able to. I may give it a try

[REVISION TKR] Jan’s new knees- 1 for the left-2 for the right<

@Pumpkln thank you for the suggestion. I’m no longer going to PT, so not sure if that’s an option. My doctor doesn’t want me going to PT , just walking. Will this tilt get worse? I’m still not able to go up or down stairs normally, although going down the stairs in a normal way is less painful...

[REVISION TKR] Jan’s new knees- 1 for the left-2 for the right<

My last doctors appointment was disappointing. I’m going to try attaching a picture. If anyone has any thoughts, I would appreciate it. Should I be concerned, my doctor wasn’t, even after I told him that I’m having a lot of medial side pain.

[REVISION TKR] Elaine’s slow-as-a-snail revision recovery

I understand your feelings of frustration, because I have the same feelings. You’re not alone. I envy the members who have such great outcomes, sadly, I’m not one of those either. That’s not to say that we both won’t be that person, eventually, but we want it now!! When it comes down to it , we...

    [REVISION TKR] Motherbone's Recovery Thread

I’m just heartbroken for you as I’m reading this. You’ve had so many problems and I understand the frustration that you must feel. I was terrified that my tibia or fibula would suffer a stress fracture from my valgus knee. The doctors act like that’s not possible, but I was really worried about...

[REVISION TKR] Hmm. Not thrilled with the revision yet<

@eaglemom I’m so sorry for you. I know how frustrating it is, I’m dealing with pretty much the same thing. I have an appointment with my OS in 3 weeks, but I feel like it’s probably going to be a waste of time. All they ever say is give it time. But in reality, what choice do we have?

[REVISION TKR] Jan’s new knees- 1 for the left-2 for the right<

@Irish471 I ration my few remaining oxycodones also. I live at the ODIC club. I’ve been in so much hip and back pain, but my knee has been doing really well. @liam2015 I started going to a new PT place. I told them I wanted help with learning to walk and for the first time in a very long time...

[REVISION TKR] Jan’s new knees- 1 for the left-2 for the right<

ODIC club, I wish I could give up my membership! It’s been an extremely tiring weekend. Worked all day Thursday, brought granddaughter home with me, then on Friday morning, she and I trekked out to grocery shop for my daughter-in-law baby shower. We cooked all day Friday until midnight :yawn...
