Yes I do stairs daily. That article is almost 20 years old Lol. I’m doing that trail 3 times a week now so Sunday I did almost half and was more winded than anything lol
my main concern was that stair climbing is not on the banned list of activities. I’m in no hurry going up or down lol.
Well I’ll start with the plane ride...I was able to get up every half hour, not too bad.
Each day I did a total of 4-6 miles. I was stretching a lot and resting when needed but never the less it was a lot.
I could have never done it if I wasn’t already building up my endurance and I don’t...
Anticipating a lot of calories I did a 2.5 mile hike tonight.
this is a question for everybody
is it kinda like no matter
What I do to recover is it just
Gonna take time to get over muscle soreness?
No matter how hard I rehab it’s just gonna take time?
Today was 16 weeks. Did a 3 mile walk/hike Sunday. Yes I was sore and stiff Monday. I took it easy and did a lot of stairs(long story lol)
today I felt much better and did my 2000yard swim with a lot of stretching.
Traveling to New Orleans and Biloxi Thursday for an extended weekend, I...
I think this is 15 weeks today.
Dr appointment was non eventful almost a waste of
time. Literally he watched me walk in and said no more restrictions. Asked a couple questions and said come back in a year.
Tonight will be my last time at PT as I will be on my own from here on out.
So it’s back...
I get my 13 week appointment tomorrow.
Im looking forward to no restrictions even though at 12 weeks I started tying my shoes and going past 90 degrees.
I feel I bounced back from Covid really well, I’m back in the pool, back on the track, bike and elliptical machine. My time off didn’t bring...
Thanks all for the well wishes! Phew!!!
That really kicked my butt.
10 straight days of body aches, fatigue, shortness of breath and a shallow cough that had my core screaming for relief. I’ve lost 22 pounds. I didn’t sign up for that diet! Lol.
to make matters worse I had just completed a...

Walking a lot on snow...
Falling into a fairly regular schedule. Work, workout and family stuff.
All aids such as canes, raised seats are gone.
Sock aid remains lol, New challenge is tying my work boots . My PT is insisting I wait till week 12, I’m cheating a bit. I’m lifting 3 times a week mostly upper...
Yesterday was 9 weeks.
I’ve mentioned before that I have 6 boys. Well after going to the youngest’s B-BALL game and sitting and wearing a mask for a few hours I backed out of the trip.
I was headed to see One of my other boys compete, it’ll have to wait.
I continue to swim and have started...
8 weeks tomorrow
Still sore and achy
it’s cold out and much of my walking is outside, does the cold affect our new hips?
have found myself using the cane again to avoid limping when tired. My legs and feet in general are basically tired by the time I get home.
I’m really hoping for a lot...
I’m doing pretty good on backing off when things are really sore.
Monday and Friday are no swim and no PT days, just walking and stairs.
im getting to ice only once a day but it’s for close to an hour. My PT gal is actually very reasonable and is tailoring exercises that don’t wipe me out.
7 weeks tomorrow. Walking without cane.
not even close to being perfect or pain free.
swimming for past 2 weeks (almost). 1 hour doing laps W/pullboy. 1/2 hour in lazy river doing therapy exercises (going against current mimicking rubber band exercises) can sleep on non op side( not my...
Day 2 at work....
Today marks 5 weeks. I really thought I’d be walking without a cane.
Seems there is no way to truly get comfortable here at work:(
So that means i sit for no more than 5 minutes then get up walk around, stand and then sit down again.
I have PT tonight after work and i...
Yikes. I had my surgery done thru the Cleveland Clinic with a very well known Doctor. They are well aware of return to work date and signed my work release.
main concern was falls and continuing the 3 Golden Rules.
being the boss and returning to a little smaller jobsite (2.5 acres)
