I say that I walk (really fast) and take run breaks! I won't be wreckless and just all out run but I alternate walking/running. It took me a while to get to this point! A good 18 months after my last surgery and seemingly endless Physical Therapy to get strong, but I've arrived and it keeps...

Hello everyone, it's been a while. I wanted to check in since I've had PM's from different members knowing that I live in Houston which has been going through devastating heartbreaking flooding the past 5 days. Myself and all my family members here are fine. Our houses are dry, we are surely...

I wrote a little story to my running club about my experience in doing the 1/2 marathon on January 15. Thought I'd share it with you all. Joy and happiness!! "I didn't really write about this before but I have relived it in my head over and over as this was as true as true happiness as I have...

@Jamie I do not have a video however there may be one to come. My long time Physical Therapist Dr Luu who I've been with since 2010 for traditional Physical Therapy is going to be adding Aquatic Therapy to his facility (yes he has a pool). One of his PT assistants came to Texas Orthopedic...

My Aquatic therapy... I started aquatic therapy at the suggestion of my surgeon. For a very short background on me, I've had 6 knee surgeries. Three arthoscopic surgeries and three total knee replacements, all on my one right knee. Two scopes came after two knee replacements because I would...

I'm very pleased Jamie that you and Richard Warner are excited about my progress and completing my 1/2 marathon. I remember Richard as he wrote to me personally when my husband was so sick in 2012. A caring person indeed! I have to tell you about a conversation with my wise 34 year old son...

I've been doing aquatic therapy at Texas Orthopedic Hospital since September 2016 and it is really helping to kick back scar tissue growth. I am beginning to feel pretty normal. In fact so normal that I coach a group of walkers and we just did the 1/2 marathon in Houston on Sunday January 15...

Thank you Jen @ACDCJen that is very kind of you. I've started aquatic therapy twice a week and I've had good results each time. I'll do it for 6 weeks and see then where I end up. The best of luck to you in your recovery journey! :angel:Bonnie

I saw my knee surgeon today. My scar tissue is back and growing. I knew it already. Monday I'm going back down to the hospital to have water therapy in the hospital pool. I don't know how often they will want me to do that but I have to try, before I lose all my ROM AGAIN I'm so tired of being...

My metal allergy testing which was one year ago came back absolutely positive as allergic to nickel and chromium. Thus my knee was replaced for a 3rd time 10 months ago. My doctor was hoping that I grew all that scar tissue that required two surgeries because of the allergy to nickel. I've done...
