I am not sure if this is related or not, but I thought I would weigh in. I had a posterior approach for both of my THR surgeries, which were performed a year ago.
In late August I suddenly noticed that I have an indentation in my upper right thigh. I had not noticed it previously. It is about...
@CricketHip, I have been thinking of you so much this week and wondering how you're doing.
I'm sorry to hear that another THR is in your future.
You'll get through it like a champ though.
Big Hugs and good thoughts are flowing your way. :)
I so understand @Miss Muffet. My first surgery was postponed (luckily just a few days), but it knocked me back a bit as I had mentally prepared myself.
You'll get there and it will be amazing.
Big Hugs! :)
@Miss Muffet, I am so terribly sorry, Friend. Your attitude is a great one though. I agree with the other folks that it's important to get it right, even if it means a bit of a delay. I know how difficult it is when you've psyched yourself up for surgery though. Sending renewed good vibes...
Hippy Anniversary, @CricketHip! :loveshwr:
I am SO glad to hear that you are recovering nicely. Awesome!
Yes, Sunday will be one year for my left hip.
My goodness, it's amazing what a difference a year can make!
Big Hugs, Friend! :)
@Miss Muffet, it can sure feel like you're the poster child for Murphy's Law prior to the surgeries, can't it?
Sending out good vibes that you can get all this sorted and be hale and hearty in time for your surgery!
(((@ilovefall))) I am sending out good vibes for you that you get some solid answers soon so your mind can be at rest. It's no fun to worry about this stuff.
It's good to remember that our minds are powerful things. We can manifest things through worry. Not to say that you aren't truly...
@CricketHip, well, so many things are connected throughout our body. Your slip sounded like a significant one. It doesn't surprise me that different parts are complaining as you heal. I am so glad to hear that it is getting better. I've been winging prayers out for you and will continue to...
*Hugs* @CricketHip. I'm glad that you are more mobile. You know probably better than most that the muscles are what supports our joints. It stands to reason that if a muscle is damaged the joint would feel wobbly.
I hope you get some answers on Friday.
Take good care of yourself this week...
I'm afraid I don't have any valuable input, but I am sending tons of positive vibes your way. I would be right in the same boat if this had happened to me...worrying about the possibility of infection.
Just try to keep in mind that infection happens in only 1%-4% per 100 hundred surgeries. We...
Oh, @CricketHip, it is so good to read your One Year update! I am SO happy for you that your hip is feeling good and that you are doing so great. :)
I'm sorry to hear about your husband and MIL and also that you have had anxiety surrounding spending time in hospitals. I sure don't blame you...
@Jamie, I'm not sure if I'm supposed to post in this section, but I just logged in and for about 15 seconds it looked like I was logged in under somebody else's account. The username was birdwatcher. Then it switched to my account.
