Been wondering about you AND those steps! Happy to hear all went well. Just curious -- are they particularly wide steps? If not, how did you use your walker? You wouldn't have been able to put it on the step above, right?
Keep up the good work. Good to hear you made it, but not at all...
Hi, Elaine! Wish I had seen your posts earlier, but this is the first time. I understand your fear about steps. You have 4 steps with no supports; I have ONE step at my front door with a frame around it. For some reason (can't remember why) I had trouble even getting my GOOD leg up on that...
Oh, phooey -- more stuff. I so empathize with your frustration, anger, & impatience at having to swim through these channels again... bummer! However, if history repeats itself, you'll land on those tootsies once again & be raring to go. Hopefully, this will be a smoother, less problematic ride...
@dickinson and @Rhonda K
Thank you both so much for your good wishes. Progress has slowed, but I haven't given up, & some new challenges have come along as well with DH & others. Nevertheless, life goes on... and if I could force myself to empty some closets of old stuff and just reorganize...
@Nana moon 27
How sweet of you to acknowledge my birthday! I have put the flowers in a vase & can't wait to taste that cake!!
I forgot I had posted my birthday...
Hope you're progressing & that things are looking up. Life certainly can be awfully difficult sometimes.
No words, dear Sally, to express my feelings at this latest news. Enough already, as we say! But I will send my hugs along with all the others... no small comfort, I know. Thinking of you & so sorry you are facing this stuff again, but they will eventually get it right, I'm sure. You are so...
@dianehelen
Yup, sounds like we are indeed parallel. Hopefully we'll both see things looking up in the not-too-distant future. And, yes, I'd love to meet you, too! To happier days ahead...
@dianehelen
Yes, life is not what I expected at this point. My op leg HAS gotten stronger so that I can step up on curbs/steps quite nicely, which was a problem until I got those muscles back. I would be able to walk longer distances (although I never walked for pleasure because something...
@dianehelen
Good to hear from you & particularly to find out that The Wound has closed. I bet you never ever thought it would happen. I remember the tales of that horrible wound vac...
But sorry to learn of the other issues. I'm very glad you got the input you did from Josephine & Jaycey...
@bsilvers
Nothing yet that I've seen. I think he said he probably wouldn't post until he's home, but he may have a change of heart. Do hope all went well.
Can't let tonight go by without wishing you good luck tomorrow. Tomorrow's the beginning of the rest of your life -- how's THAT sound -- original though it is not.
Ok, don't feel pressure to let us know your progress until you're at home, but must admit I'd love to hear from you while youre...
@theweezyone
So sorry about your loss.. You must miss him terribly. That's the hardest thing about pets -- their time with us is so limited and therefore maybe even more precious.
Good luck next month!!
