@2chains my ROM is 0 (actually negative as my legs are somewhat hyperextended normally) and 103.
The things you're trying sound comparable to what I have found that's working somewhat for me:
Have students pick up lab packets instead of passing them out
Call students up to me to pick up graded...
Update - it's been 10 and a half weeks now. I have good days, but still have more bad days that I would like. The bad days are definitely related to my job as a teacher and being on my feet for a good bit of the day. Last Friday i had to leave half way through the day because i was hurting so...
@2chains I have figured out how to use one of the student chairs to elevate a little bit and ice. Not ideal, but hoping it works. I also ordered an ice pack for the knee that has straps. Hoping that during my long stretch that I can at least ice, even if I can't elevate it. If it works, I'm...
@sistersinhim I definitely am going to try and figure out ways to ice; the elevating may be isolated to my planning and lunch time, but I am trying to figure out ways to do it during other times as well. I hadn't thought of trying one of the stools....I will have to try that tomorrow. Thanks...

When it became so swollen, I did slow down some on my activity, icing and elevating more. That seems to have helped as the swelling is not so bad now - still there, just less.
Hi again! Everyone was so helpful on my first question, providing tips and letting me know I was not going through anything completely unusual. Thank you so much for that. It really helped me feel better about this journey I'm on.
I seem to have hit a set back at this point. I am now 4 weeks...
I had my RTKR on June 14. I thought the cold was just me - I am someone who is normallyalways hot. There are times I can't get warm no matter how many blankets I use. Glad to know it isn't just me or my imagination!
Thank you all! Reading through the info provided here, as well as your responses, has me feeling much better about where I'm at and how I need to advocate for myself and my recovery. I do start outpatient PT next week, so will be a different therapist. Hopefully this one will have a different...
