I have not done this in a while. I hope all my friends are well. I think I can finally say Im glad I did it. I remember hearing people say that I would get to where I didn't think about my knee ALL the time. I think im there. The other one occupies my thoughts more now days.- cpd599

Vacation was GREAT ! I walked 2-3 miles every day (usually on the beach) + whatever walking we did during our activities. Last year I was in pain and couldn't keep up. Thanks guys. Siesta Key, Fla. for spring break in a couple weeks ! Last April when I was there, I was in so much pain I couldn't keep up with the family. That's when my wife told me it was time for the new knee. I'm hoping for better results walking on the beach this year ! Good to see...- cpd599

Hey All. It's been a few weeks. My 6 month check up was great. X-ray was good, ROM was good. Dr. is happy with my activity level, and said I can do pretty much anything I feel up to (within reason). I would have to say I agree with all of that. How's the clunking ? I still feel it most of the time. I try to walk with a "normal" stride, but I'm not quite there yet. It's kinda like I lock my knee out instead of putting full weight on it. Does that make sense ? It is getting stronger...- cpd599

Hello All ! Diddo on the 6 Monthers ! Standing is still one of the more difficult things for me to do also. I am finding that I'm able to start walking when I stand up much quicker, and my flex is getting better. I am to the point where I favor my new knee in certain situations.- cpd599

OK, I walked a mile today, which is longest so far. Have tried to get into a car more normally, but still end up going to the "sit and spin" when I don't feel comfortable. Walked up a flight of stairs to the gym at work, and back down....Progress !- cpd599

I too think it depends on the person. At 4 months, as I am now, there is no way I could do the job as a patrolman on the streets. I am a higher rank and do mostly administrative duties. Good stuff. I think our journey has been very similar. We are a week apart and experiencing a lot of the same things. I am to the point where my new knee works better than the other one on some days.
