Can’t believe it’s been 6 weeks since I updated , sorry about that. I guess that’s usually a good sign. Right hip is just shy of six months and could not be any better. Area over incision still little tender other than that all good. Left hip is doing good. Still have numbness tingly electric...
4 months post op left hip. 1 month post op right hip. Left hip feels so good. Incision site still a little sore tender tingly if I rub it other then that left hip feels great. Right hip doing as expected little better every few days. OS said it was tough getting at joint. Which probably explains...
Two week follow up today to take bandage off. Recovery smooth so far. I took photo of x ray with phone. Got home and noticed first hip replacement in August has no screws. November surgery has two large screws going into my hip. Doctor never mentioned screws to me. Have call into office to...
it feels to me like its been corrected but hard to tell until I can do more walking on it. I got extremely lucky this surgery it went way easier then the first. My PT (have had 5 sessions one left) is constantly telling me that just because I can do something does not mean I should be doing it...
One week down today. Goin pretty well. Got a prescription form OS for the nerve burning helping quite a bit. Off all pain meds since yesterday, they gave me to much constipation. Bathroom went way better today after being off pain meds a full day. Icing a lot much more tolerable to ice with...
Good night of sleep last night. Was able to sleep on left side. Interesting that after first surgery took little more then two weeks to support 100% weight with this surgery have been able to walk some without cane or walker. Definitely a huge advantage knowing what helped and what caused...
First hip had absolutely no bruising just incision. Yesterdays surgery left me with giant bruising all around incision back into my butt. Anyone else experience a lot of bruising after anterior approach? Almost forgot how bad that log leg feels.
Thanks layla if it happens. I am scheduled for surgery again tomorrow at 730 AM however as of noon today blue cross has not authorized surgery. Blue cross blames doctor and hospital. Hospital blaming doctor. Doctor blaming hospital. Insurance company is refusing to fast track process. Pre...
Thanks I can not even explain my frustration after getting myself psyched up to go through that operation for the second time in three months and have that happen. Of course did not sleep a wink last night thinking about the surgery that never happened.
Have to love our medical system. Arrive at hospital at 1015 for my scheduled THR at 1230. Of course have already had to get pre surgery clearance from my primary physician and pre surgery bloodwork mersa and covid test.
Have iv put in at 1015 and on gurney waiting. At around 1210 told they are...
Well its hard to believe but tomorrow is already here. Three months exactly since my TLHR. Left hip feels great and most times do not even even realize I had the surgery. Incision site is still a little numb and tingly if I press or massage it.
RTHR tomorrow at 1230. Last surgery was at 8 AM...
