I have a feeling that with even the slightest amount of inflammation in the knee causes issues with swelling pain and stiffness to the point it makes you think there is more then there actually is.
Only thing that is residual ( unless the other stuff reappears) is the tingly sensitivity when I rub the incision knee cap area. I don’t notice anything unless I begin rubbing it, it’s like a good bad feeling when I massage it Lol
For all you worry warts like me that read stuff on Google that tell you you will see your biggest gains in the first 3 months and slow to minimal improvements from then on is hogwash. I just want to let you know that you will still see big improvements well after that. I’m at just about 7 months...
I’ve read that 5 degrees is acceptable but 0 is of course ideal. 6 and beyond causes your quads to never be at rest and always has tension on them, the higher your number the more they are engaged so to speak forever unless you get that leg straight. Extension seems to be the most crucial thing...
Started back to therapy with a different therapist today and my numbers aren’t quite as good as the last therapist lead me to believe. First one said I was at 125 and 5 new therapist has me at 115 and 10
I have watched the videos and I still am amazed it can take so long (over a year)to fully recover just like I’m amazed that people claim to come away from the operation in 3 weeks and feel like new. I would think 6 months and you should be at the very best outcome and I am aware every one is...
On a positive note I’m not taking medication day or night now because I am able to sleep without much pain. I just can’t understand why it takes so long for stuff to settle down in there for up to a year or more if this is what I’m dealing with, it just doesn’t make sense why it would take so long.
That’s what I was wondering if when they move stuff aside what if it doesn’t get put back in the same place? That’s what’s upsetting, the arthritis pain is gone but now I have other issues
Thank you Layla for the kind words. To answer your question no I’m not doing all that much better if any. I have this terrible soreness on the inner and outer sides of my knee and it is frustrating and irritating, to say the least. I have what seems to be great knee support and mobility it’s...
Had mine done 2 days before you. I wonder how much of the outcome is based on surgeon. I have tightness under the skin of my knee when I walk and horrible pain at night
Hi there, I try to avoid taking anything during the day because once night hits and I lay down to go to sleep the pain is multiplied by a lot so I load up before bed. I’d honestly rather have the pain I had pre surgery because I become used to that and if I didn’t over do it it wasn’t bad. I had...
Yes I have in fact I had my 12 week follow up yesterday and told him how I’m feeling and he just said I’m still in the early stage of recovery that I could try rubbing cocoa butter on the knee to desensitize it but that doesn’t help. At this point I regret having the surgery done
I don’t really do much just some walking
i don’t really do much other then walking and that’s all it takes for it to make this uncomfortable feeling. I’d almost rather deal with the arthritic pain I had before the surgery then this uncomfortableness. So really whether I do a lot or do little it...
My tightness/stiffness i don’t feel is coming from inside the knee itself as much as it is from the skin or just beneath the skin. I’m now at 14 weeks and at times it doesn’t bother me to walk and feels comfortable but often times for no rhyme or reason it feels so uncomfortable to bend (feels...
I had this surgery to eliminate the pain. I had good great range of motion and stability 3 months post op and I am satisfied with the replacement from a stability standpoint but not from a pain standpoint (the whole reason why I did this). In the evening I still need pain meds to get any kind of...
