Thank you @Layla ! I thought it might just be inflammation, but it just started to have a different feeling, so I figured it doesn't hurt to ask!
I appreciate the help from everyone on this forum! And I have been recommending it to friends who are considering replacement surgery!
Hello all! I came on to post a question and saw the lovely well wishes from you @Layla Thank you so much!
I've been so fortunate to have had a great recovery and have been able to travel again without pain - as long as I don't overdo it! LOL
I did have one question about a weird sensation...
Hi everyone. I haven't posted much lately, but things have been going along well. Lefty was at 3 months yesterday and righty is just short of 6 months. I can definitely feel one is further along than the other, but the knees are feeling great with just some muscle tightness, especially on...
Thanks for the reply! I elevate pretty much whenever I'm sitting, but I've only been icing after I've had a long day, etc. I'll do that more often again and see if it helps!
Happy New Year everyone!
And happy birthday to my Lefty! It's 2 months today. Almost 5 months now for Righty. Things are coming along well. Still some tightness in both, which is to be expected. But I'm seeing a difference between the 5-month and 2-month, so I know things are improving. Yay...
I am very proud of my baby knee today! I've had this casino trip planned for quite a while. Just a day trip but it's 1.5 hours each way and I new id get stiff. Thankfully, the baby is my left knee and I can move it around as needed while driving.
Once there I walked a bit to get unstiff...
Hello and Happy Holidays!
Yesterday was 6 weeks for Lefty! I had my final PT session yesterday. Yay! She said I was ahead of the curve and she "graduated" me, as long as my OS agreed. My ROM measured at 0 - 133. I am super happy with that.
I saw my OS today. He agreed with PT and said...
I take something that is prescribed. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say what I take. If it is ok with the mods I will say what I was prescribed @Layla? But it's probably best if you talk to your doctor.
Thank you @Layla ! I've been blessed with my whole team!
The last 2 nights have been back to some achiness and less sleep. But I will take any good days I can!
Happy weekend to all!
Hi everyone! I hope you all are having a good week. Today is Week 5 for Lefty, and just 3 days shy of 4 months for righty. Righty is doing well! I still have some stiffness, of course, especially after PT or doing a lot around the house, and expect that will last for a while. But no pain...
Well, today was MUCH better. Still the usual tightness and discomfort at times, but not the pain like yesterday! Tomorrow is PT again so hopefully, it won't repeat on Saturday. I will ask to really just do light stretching tomorrow, I think.
Thank you, @Layla ! I'm thinking the pressure change has to be playing a part because even righty is acting up more than usual, and she's much further along. And yes, I have felt pains in many of my joints with the weather for years not. I was hoping having an artificial joint would change...
Hi All. I never like to do this, but I've come here to whine. :sorry: As you all know, complaining most people about how you feel or if you are hurting just accomplishes nothing. The usual comments are "But it's been a month since you're surgery. Surely you are feeling good now!" At least...
Good morning! I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving weekend!
Tomorrow will be 4 weeks PO for Lefty! Things are progressing well. Incision looks good and ROM is coming along nicely. When she measured it Friday it was 120 - 0.
The worst part right now is that achiness while sleeping. And...
After I had my first knee done, my second knee was also in pretty bad shape. However, I used the non-op knee as the "good" knee until I felt like the new operated knee was feeling good and had surpassed the non-op knee. I think this will all vary for every person.
Today is 3 weeks PO for Lefty. Righty is now at 3.5 months. A nice milestone, an observation, and an overdid it excursion, sigh.
This weekend I was able to get rid of the toilet seat riser I have been using! Yay! It definitely made a huge difference the first few weeks, but I no longer need...
