Another thin g... I had my routine physical yesterday. The nurse had a hip replacement in January and is really struggling with her limp. I was able to pass on heel-toe walking, which she was practicing when I left. :walking:

Thanks for your answers. I will call my OS to be sure but seems it is not an issue. @Layla we are having a good week, temps around 70° this week. Beautiful and sunny. Many of our trees are still green so "fall" has really started. It has been incredibly dry with little rain. But I am enjoying...

Anyone have any knowledge of the safety of the Shingles Vaccine for THR patients? My primary caredoctor recommends it but is leaving it up to me. Thoughts?

@Hoppy Nanny and @Fit4Family The other leg is intermittent and doesn't slow me down. I knew this was coming based on the Xrays back in February. The right hip had collapsed so it had to be done first. The surgeon told me then, I'll see you before the end of the year for the left. I hope it will...

Thanks, Chrissie @Hoppy Nanny Monday I had my pneumonia vaccine in the same arm. Since it was already sore, I thought why not. The heat has been in the 90's the last couple of days but is supposed to be cooler tomorrow. My OS called me today to thank me for a card and photo I had sent him. The...

 Yes, @Layla The fever was gone by bedtime, slept well and feel great today. Thanks for the anniversary remembrance. Seems impossible but it really has been almost six months. Waiting for the temperatures outside to "fall" and I will be a happy camper. Hope you have a lovely day.

It is, @Mojo333 I continue walking a lot. Actually cleaned, deep cleaned my house. I was able to reach all the lower portions of my furniture to dust. Funny thing, I still can't trim my toe nails or tie my shoes! But can shave my legs! Good my husband is agreeable

Thanks, @Mojo333 I thought so, too, but still feel the need to check on everything. Since it's the weekend, I don't want to call the doctor.

Hey gang! I had my flu vaccine today and I am running a low grade fever (99.6). Is this a problem at all? My inclination is no but I'm not sure. Also, okay to take Tylenol?

    [THR] Fairydell's recovery thread

Hello @Fairydell. Have just been catching up on your progress. So happy to hear you are sleeping well and doing such yard work as you are! Impressive! I imagine the fresh air and vigorous exercise helps the sleep as well. I, too, am mostly toddler style on the stairs. It cones and goes...

:wave:Thanks, Layla. Have been doing lots outside, including my daily one mile walk. Waiting for Dorian to go away so I can continue to enjoy woods walking and sightseeing. I am starting to feel pings in my left leg. Surgeon said I would need it replaced later this year and he may be right...

[THR] Sarah Bee (Re)Learns to Walk.

Thank you @Layla very much Four months? Hmmm! I am walking at least a mile each day, along with some vigorous(ish) exercise 5 days a week. Need to get my weight down as I have somewhat ballooned after surgery. It's really amazing, considering how much more exercise I am getting now. I am...

I think I overdid it on my adult stair stepping. That has been my nemesis and I should not have done it for so long on Monday. :yikes: Ice is being my friend...... Again.

Thank you @Mojo333 and @Layla :roseshwr: I have to say that when I first joined this forum, the two of you were so positive and had such a calming effect. You really made me believe it would be okay, even those days I felt it never would be again. Thank you for that. God bless you both! :friends:
