I am 20 years old, and I had my right hip replacement almost a year ago and will be getting my left hip replaced this May. I have a new job as an RBT Therapist and need cushy, supportive shoes. What are the best athletic shoes for double hip replacement? I have flat feet, bad knees, and posterior hip replacements. Also, what are good everyday shoes that may not necessarily be athletic but are still fashionable (not bright colors) as a young lady?

For cushy and supportive try G-Defy.
They are little dorkier in person but not all bad. My 24 year old granddaughter just asked about mine, and said that lots of people at her workplace (hospital lab) wear them. They are very cushy and the support is good but not hard like some.
For every day you can look at Orthofeet and Vionic

The Footsmart site has lots of different brands, and I think has a filter in place to figure out what you'd need.

I just remembered Alegria too.
I hope you find something you like :walking:

I would recommend going to a specialist running shop and being fitted by them.

There are a lot of great sports shops that sell high quality shoes meant for athletic sports. I think what’s important to keep in mind is what is comfortable to YOU. I am still recovering myself, but I am VERY active normally. Most athletic footwear I find very uncomfortable. Sketchers for me have been a go to(some of their styles), but at the end of the day is to try to avoid cheating out on CRAPPY shoes. The thread above is fantastic with lots of information to help you decide what is best for you

I read a lot about sneakers and it seems like Adidas Ultraboost is the most comfortable shoes out there

I prefer to use sketchers myself the kind with out laces

Stopping by to wish you all the best for surgery on Monday. I hope you’re ready to roll.
I look forward to following your healing journey on the Hip Recovery Forum once you’re able to join us there. See you there soon! :wave:
@amylloberger

Blessings for a smooth surgery and a good start to a great recovery. We'll be looking forward to you update from the healing side when you're up to it.
