I had the Posterior approach (no choice with my surgeon)and was quite nervous before the op. Apart from an initial problem with pain management my recovery has been slow but sure. I had the spinal and mild sedative and didn’t hear a thing. Just woke up as being wheeled to recovery.
Six months on, apart from initial stiffness in the morning, the hip is ok and I am sleeping so much better than before and I am enjoying life again. . It is definitely worth all the pre op angst!
