TKR 12 weeks out. Pain in the medial area near under the kneecap.

Been doing my 30 mins on the bike daily as prescribed, and some leg lifts, and walking as directed, and this pain started some days ago and has not stopped. I'm wondering if this is normal and may pass, or, if something is wrong? I've learned this is a slow process, and takes some twists and...

TKR 12 weeks out. Pain in the medial area near under the kneecap.

I'm 8 weeks out and doing fine on the new knee. Riding my bike 1/2 hour each day and doing most of my daily activities. Every morning, the knee feels incrementally better than the morning prior, and every night it is pretty sore. All good! No problem going up stairs, but going down causes a...

    TKR Side sleeping

I didn't take the Ativan when I was taking the narcotics. I have taken the Ativan while I was still on low dose Tramadol (50 mg 1x day) with no problems for me. But, surely to check with your pharmacist or doc on that. :)

    TKR Side sleeping

I had RTKR on 11 March, and sleep was really difficult at first. I noticed that when I went to bed, that my discomfort and pain increased and took a few hours to settle down, and those restless hours caused me some anxiety. I tried a low dose of Ativan (1 mg) and it really helped. Now, 8 weeks...

TKR What finally made you decide to have a knee replacement?

I watched my wife suffer with a degenerated knee that caused her world to shrink down until the TKR three years ago. Her fear of pain of the surgery/recovery was finally overcome by the pain itself. It was hard to watch for me, and she suffered waiting for no gain at all. For me, I had a torn...

TKR 12 weeks out. Pain in the medial area near under the kneecap.

Roy, Good thinking on how to use the stationary bike as an adjustable tool to increase ROM in small increments and s l o w l y. Small changes, and test the result after is a smart policy, which I am adopting. I never paid too much attention to my old SPD pedals; but they do require some...

TKR 12 weeks out. Pain in the medial area near under the kneecap.

Thanks for responding so fast! I'm a 65 year old man, and I had a TKR on the right side on 11 March 2021 as an outpatient . I've been a biker for 50 years, and came into the surgery with pretty good quad strength, even on the operative leg. I had asked my doc for "pre-hab" therapy sessions...

TKR 12 weeks out. Pain in the medial area near under the kneecap.

At this point, the new new and healing leg feel better every morning. My doc discharged me from PT last Friday, which I am not really thrilled about as the PT I was working with was so helpful and I think I could rehab faster, and frankly speaking, after a year of COVID near isolation, being in...
