Welcome to all our July Sparklers!

You are now an Honor Graduate

from your pre-op days! You've entered the recovery phase of your replacement journey to that place called “Normal”, and you are now eligible to be a Recovery Club

member.

Pre-op surgery team members are automatically recovery team members. If you were not on the pre-op list, please join your fellow travelers in this month’s post-op club by requesting your name and surgery date be added to the roster.

Being a team member will allow you to share your

questions, concerns, and experiences; give one another

support and encouragement;

vent, whine, and shed some tears, if necessary; and have some

fun and laughs together. (Please do the above in one another’s recovery threads. And if you find your fun and laughs taking over an individual thread, toss them over to the Social Room to keep your recovery thread on target.)

Hi! I had RTKR July 22. May I be added to this forum thread? Having a rough go of it. I'm only 49. This was years coming; I'm a former runner and nurse with valgus deformity and pretty bad scoliosis, trying to take it day by day.

Tkr done 22nd July. Doing exercises but rom not great.... wasn't great before surgery. Maybe left it too long partly because of pandemic. Bad night with pain last night but otherwise ok. Learned to love ice and a cryo flask/cuff thing!

Hi, I had TKR (right leg) on 14th July. Previously had left TKR in 2019 with very few problems. However, this time I am in more pain and especially during the night. I’m doing all of the physio exercises and range of movement is improving but due to the impact of Covid on waiting lists unable to access face to face physio until later in August. Look forward to sharing experiences and learning from others.
