Knee Replacement & Hip Replacement
Patient Advocacy & Online Community
  1. Scheduled for release tomorrow: a major re-design of the BoneSmart.org forum.

All the same features you're used to will still be here, but the look will be completely updated to match the rest of the website (Part 1, launched in May). But this update is not just about a new color scheme - it's about making the forum easier to use no matter what device you're on! Whether you're on a desktop computer, a laptop, a tablet or a mobile phone - the new design will adjust to fit your screen (this is called "responsive web design"), be easier to read, and easier to navigate.

Yes, major changes like these can be a pain because they make the forum you're familiar with feel unfamiliar. But I hope you will come to appreciate all we've built into this new design. Ultimately we want to make it easier for newbies (even people who have found us yet) and all you BoneSmarties who are the heart and soul of this community. I definitely invite your feedback - good or bad - in Announcements.

To start a new thread there is the button at the top and bottom right hand side of the page

When you click on this, it opens a new page like so

When you've written the title and your message, then click "Create Thread" at the bottom
If you want to add an image, upload it directly from your computer with the "Upload a File" button. More on this here ...
If you want to preview your message before you post it, use the "Preview" button which will take you here

You can make any edits before you post it

PLEASE don't use text speak on the forum. b4, r and u are not acceptable 'speak'
If you use acronyms like AVN please explain it the first time you use as not everyone will know what it means.

    IMPORTANT NEXT STEP:
Don't forget that THIS forum is the "How To" forum and closed to posting.
You need to go find whichever of the four forums is most appropriate for you in order to start a new thread.

Get there by going to the top of the page, to the left and finding the word Forum to the left of "Home" (Home is the parent website, BoneSmart.org)

Then you will be on the Home Page of the forum where these choices will be seen
You need the one that suits your situation
