    As some of you know, the VA called yesterday and cancelled my 3/30 surgery and rescheduled for 4/23.

    Well, this is government bureaucracy at it's best!

    They called me a couple of hours ago and told me they didn't "notice" they had an opening on the 28th of this month. So we're on again, 2 days sooner than originally planned AND it's a morning op instead of afternoon. 5:30 am checkin. :rolleyespink:

    That's the U.S. Government for ya!

    LOL glad you got a sooner date! At least this particular snafu ended up being a positive one for you - in less than a week you'll have a new hip! :thumb:

    Excellent news kaaper! How nice that the new date is even earlier than your original date. By this time next week you'll be brand new :thumb:.

    Sometimes ya gotta love the irony in government. Hurry up!!! WAIT!!! Now REALLY hurry!!! It keeps life interesting. Good thing you have a sense of humor.

    Do be sure they put a BIG "X" on the leg getting the hip getting replaced and the words "NOT THIS ONE" on the other side....just sayin'.....

    Your VA sounsd a bit like our NHS. But who cares if you're getting your THR brought forward. Both times the NHS have offered me a date a month earlier than planned, but both times I just had too much on to drop everything and accept the earlier date. But it sounds as though you are more than ready. I'll be on the other side to greet you, as I'm a day before you. Good luck!
