Does anyone know about how much the knee prothesis weighs? I have a zimmer knee. Thank you!
According to Josephine, a knee prosthesis weighs about 10 1/2 ounces or 300 grams.
Or if you are going for a weigh-in at a slimming club, 25kg
Thank you Jamie and Tykey, Wow Jamie, I thought it would weigh about 5 pounds which is about double or more of what you said. I like your answer Tykey! ha ha!
I thought I had lost even more weight, LOL! Thank you both
This is the second thread on this in as many days - please read the Library! It's in there.
Well, at under a pound....the real weight of your knee is LESS than 1/5th of the 5 lbs. you estimated. Bottom line is (sorry to say), your new knee cannot be blamed for any weight on your body.....not to US anyway! But....we love you anyway. That's what "family" means!
Jo, sometimes we know these things, but sometimes we can't help but play around!
Thanks everyone and Thanks Jamie, it does feel like a family on here
That's great to know, wrappergirl....then we are doin' it right, cuz a BoneSmart family is the goal!!
it's been a tremendous help to me both before and after the surgery! I tell a lot of people who are going through the surgery to check it out. My therapist thought it was a great thing to have access to too Thank you again !
