    Dear BoneSmarties,

We had a significant outage in service today. The website was down for several hours. Fortunately it's back up and running now, and we think the issue is under control.

Note: We will have a short planned outage for some related maintenance in the next 48 hours and will do our best to give you all some heads up as to when this will be.

    Thanks for understanding!

You're correct, Tim. That's a reported problem. But it's probably one that's low down on the priority list until things get completely stable and stay that way for a few days. Thanks for mentioning it though....you never know when an issue is there that hasn't been addressed, so be sure to post about any problems you come across.

It is back up, but the posts made the last couple of days had to be overwritten when the backup files were loaded. I apologize to those who have lost posts and hope that you can enter them again.

I believe the forum is stable right now and you shouldn't be losing any posts or threads. If you find that you are, please report it here with as many specifics (name of thread, time posted, etc.) as you can. Sorry for this inconvenience, Tashia. There really has not been anything Jo, Rich or I could do.

Hi Jamie, I lost my threads from Friday and then had a couple of posts yesterday with Josephine and now they have gone? The thread is " unstable knee revision - advice sought" hope that helps, and thanks to all the techies for their hard work! :yes 4:

Thanks for fixing it and warning it may happen again - I was panicking as thought it was only happening when I was using my netbook and not my desktop -and can't use my desktop in bed in the early hours!

I'm sorry to say that the lost posts and threads are truly lost. The techs had to use backups from last Thursday to restore the system on Sunday. That wiped out all the posting done from Friday on. I hate that it worked out that way for everyone, but these things do happen sometimes.

I know it's an inconvenience, but please do repost a thread or individual post that is still something you are concerned about.

It appears that the time clock for posts has been reset. Mine are indicating the proper time. If anyone continues to note this as a problem, please let us know.
