    Hi all

Hope you are all doing well. I am 4 months post-op and as usual am turning to you all for some advice (what would i do without this group). I don't see my PT for another 5 weeks but i have made a bit of a circuit for myself to do for some exercise. Since surgery and stopping smoking i seemed to have put on a bit of extra weight so need to lose it anyway i found a rebounder that i used to use do you think it would do any harm if i give it another go not sure what impact it would have on my knees doing that jumping of course i would take it slowly. Any suggestions.

    Thanks

If a rebounder in Aussie english is a trampoline in US english then yes - it works well. I used one during weeks 3-5 at my PT. I would jog on it for 10 to 15 minutes at a time. Jumping with both legs was hard on my lower back at that stage.

    Hi Ruppbike

Yes it is a mini trampoline, and thanks for the feedback i will certainly give it a go. It is good to hear from a fellow Bilateral TKR, I know there are a few on the site good luck with your recovery. I am sure you have found this is a great site.

    Cheers

Huh, ruppbike....your PT had you jogging on a mini trampoline at weeks 3-5 after a TKR? Boy, I certainly wouldn't have thought that to be a good idea so early in recovery. But I guess I can't argue if it worked for you.

Kazzaa.....just do be careful. Any impact activity may be very uncomfortable for your knees at this stage.
