Hi Kathy, My bruising lasted until about week 6. I also had some blisters around the incision. My doctor said it was from the swelling. The last two have just healed and tomorrow I'm at week 9. Tim- Thank you for the info. I do have a hard time telling the pt 'experts' no. That is one reason I'm thinking of waiting a few weeks to start pt again. Well, it will be 6 weeks this Friday, September 7, since my right tkr. Finished in home pt and my doctor wants me to do out patient pt. I went back to work today and worked for four hours. Thank you all for your support and advice. I talked with my doctor's nurse and she was very helpful and supportive. She called in another prescription with a refill so I wouldn't worry about running out of pain med. So I've been taking the pain med on schedule, icing and elevating, and I've also...- kstormyd
