    I think it depends on your comfort level. I still wear sneakers and flats but I'm hoping very soon I will be back to my heels and wedges! nothing too high but something you're comfortable with should be fine but only when you're ready.

    @poppet- yes X-rays showed slight dislocation in right hip and my ortho surgeon says I need it replaced as well. I'm really scared but I know this is something I'm going to have to do sooner rather then later. My back pain is terrible and I miss my independent life. Thanks for the advice...

    Poppet and Jaycey....I've only started taking alive which helps take the edge off but by 7hrs in my back feels like its ripping. I think it's because of my other hip that still needs to be replaced. It has a slight dislocation but the pain is in my groin area and getting more painful by the day...
