    MUA 11 week post RTKR

Hi Lori, I am sorry to hear you are having these issues. I know how frustrating it can be. I have a few suggestions that are similar to those mentioned before but my personal experience as well. I think finding a good massage therapist that can help you with your tight muscles is a good idea...

    TKR Stiff knee after TKR

I had limited extension issues and had adhesions removed, but it was an open surgery, not by scope. Much of my problem was behind the knee and therefore required opening the TKR incision, removing the spacer, and cleaning out the adhesions which were all over the place. While the first few days...

TKR No change in 15 deg Extension for 11 weeks since surgery

I totally agree Jo, aggressive pt was the start of a bad outcome in my case. Having gone through the revision and going slow and easy in recovery based on advice here made all the difference in the world. I wish I had done that from the start. You guys saved me and my sanity:) Dawn

TKR No change in 15 deg Extension for 11 weeks since surgery

TKR 6 months and leg pain gone!

Hi Martha, I'm not sure what you would call my surgery. The definition of arthrotomy seems to apply to so many things. I have seen it referred to as open lysis of adhesions. That's beside the point. Here is my understanding of what was done to create more flexion: The original TKR incision was...
