    Mine fractured a few weeks after the surgery. I have 6 wires around the femur. My healing has been very slow and discouraging. I still have a lot of pain in my femur, mostly in the back part of the femur and the wires are chewing their way out. I'm still on narcotics.

    I took my son's stool that he uses to play the guitar. It works great in the bathroom. My hair is long and thick as well and it does take a bit to dry it. If you have any bar stools they work very well.

    My femur split 3 weeks after the surgery. I really don't have anything good to say that would cheer you up. I'm still working on trying to get past it myself. Did they wire your femur? My wires feel like they are working their way from the inside out. I wish you better luck than I'm having.

    I also had the anterior approach and had no problems with the incision. My recovery, however, was messed up when 3 weeks into my rehab, the femur fractured. Would I have the anterior approach if I were to have surgery again? You bet I would!
